Spiritual Growth Topics at National Worship Leader Conference
Our ministry, Next Level Worship, is sponsoring the Spiritual Growth Track at the National Worship Leader Conference this coming July in Austin, TX. Our team considers this an honor, and we are thankful to have this oppotunity to impact leaders at the very heart of worship.
Headliners for this “super bowl” worship conference include Matt Redman, Marcos Witt, Israel Houghton, Gordon MacDonald, Bishop Joseph Garlington, Tommy Walker, CeCe Winans, Ross Parsley, Paul Baloche, Ron Kenoly and Lincoln Brewster.
I will be leading a workshop entitled “Developing Your Team to Be Ministers through Music.” I will explain the Four Levels of Effectiveness for Lead Worshipers from Week 6 of my worship study, Pure Praise (Group Publishing, 2008). Those four levels are: 1. Song Leader, 2. Music Director, 3. Minister of Music, and 4. Minister through Music. Being a minister through music is the Biblical precedent for every praise team member and church musician. I will give practical weekly suggestions for how to disciple worship teams toward that goal. This particular teaching is very timely and needed in our performance-oriented culture.
Other Spiritual Growth workshops include Breaking Up Your Fallow Ground taught by David M. Edwards, Freedom from Your Flesh taught by Steve Berger, and Broken and Beautiful: The Healing Power of Worship by John Chisum.
