C.S. Lewis’ Prophetic Words Speak to Our Economic Woes

All these people told us not to lend money at interest; and lending money at interest — what we call investment — is the basis of our whole system…Three great civilisations had agreed…in condemning the very thing on which we have based our whole life. (p. 85)
(So how does this relate to worship, you ask? A worshiping people — who worship Him in a God-honoring way, that is — are a prudent people who listen to wisdom….)
